UK NARIC (National Recognition Information Centre)
UK NARIC is the National Agency responsible for providing information, advice and opinion on vocational, academic and professional skills and qualifications from all
over the world. As the National Agency, managed on behalf of the UK Government, under contract to the Department for Business, Innovation
and Skills (BIS), we provide the only official source of information on international education and training systems and wide-ranging international
qualifications and skills attained from outside the UK.
UK NARIC is part of the NARIC network. This is an initiative of the European Commission and was created in 1984. The network aims at improving academic
recognition of diplomas and periods of study in the Member States of the EU, the EEA countries and the associated countries in Central and Eastern Europe and Cyprus.
It is also the UK National Agency in the wider European Network of Information Centres (ENICs).
UK NEC (National Europass Centre)
Europass aids the mobility of individuals throughout Europe by removing barriers to working, studying or training in Europe.
The UK National Europass Centre (NEC) is the National Agency responsible for promoting Europass within the UK to individuals, Awarding Bodies, employers, education
institutions and other stakeholders. The agency is jointly funded by the European Commission and the UK Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and
sits within a network of 31 other Europass Centres within the EU / EEA.
The NEC is responsible for the coordination, management and promotion of all UK activities related to Europass and its associated documents.
UK NCP - The National Contact Point for Professional Qualifications in the UK
The National Contact Point for Professional Qualifications in the UK (UK NCP) is the UK Contact Point for recognition of Professional Qualifications.
The UK NCP will be able to help guide you through the process of obtaining recognition of your professional qualifications. The UK NCP does this by providing you with the contact
details of the appropriate Competent Authority in the UK and in Europe, as well as providing clarity on the regulations surrounding your profession in the UK.
ECVET - The National Contact Point for England, improving the mobility of those holding vocational qualification across Europe.
Welcome to the National Contact Point (NCP) for the European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) for England. We are part of a wider network of Contact
Points in the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). There are separate National Contact Points for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
ReferNet - the European network of reference and expertise in Vocational Education and Training (VET).
