BIS has published a consultation on the transposition of the revised Mutual Recognition of Professional Qualifications Directive. Stakeholders are invited to review the consultation and submit their replies to the questions by 6 November.

The revision of the Directive has brought in a number of changes which aim to further facilitate the free movement of professionals within the EU.  BIS will use the views gathered to help provide better guidance and inform their position in implementation discussions.

A draft impact assessment on the effect of the amendments can be found on the same page as the consultation document.  BIS will produce a final impact assessment taking into account any further evidence received from the consultation.
