New service launched for those looking to work in the Early Years sector

On 31 August, UK NARIC launches its new Early Years Service for holders of international qualifications who are looking to work in the early years (pre-primary, 0-5 years) sector in England: www.ecctis.com/earlyyears

The service has been developed in collaboration with the Department for Education to map in detail overseas qualifications to the DfE’s requirements for working in the sector. The service covers the sector in England – there are different processes in Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.

This new service replaces the Statement of Comparability for the Early Years Sector.

The Early Years Service finds out if an applicant is qualified to work as a Level 3 Early Years Educator or a Level 2 Childcare Worker in Early Years Settings in England.

The service does a detailed mapping of the content of an individual's qualifications to the official DfE criteria.

The service can map multiple qualifications.

Comparisons for school qualifications can also be provided, to help demonstrate that the DfE's literary and numeracy requirements are satisfied.
