Regulated professions

This page outlines the regulated professions in the UK; these are legally recognised occupations that involves specialist application of knowledge.

A regulated profession is one where access to or practice of a profession is restricted by national law to those holding specific qualifications. Each Member State determines its own national system of education and training, and identifies its own Regulated Profession and the specific pathways to pursuing the Regulated Professions.
