RESEARCH AND DATA OFFICER - Spanish with fluent Italian

Location: Cheltenham

Starting Salary: £22k plus benefits

Hours: 8.30am – 5.00pm or 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday

UK NARIC is the UK’s National Agency responsible for providing information and expert advice on international qualifications and skills.  We would like to hear from you if you have the qualifications, skills and other attributes necessary to be a Research and Data Officer, helping to support and maintain our core international qualifications recognition advisory service.

Job Role:

Essential minimum requirements

  • A completed and certified Bachelor, Postgraduate or Masters’ degree from a UK University
  • Fluent verbal and written English language skills – minimum IELTS score 6.5
  • Fluent verbal and written language skills in Spanish  and ideally also with fluent Italian
  • Relevant research experience
  • Data analysis experience

Other desirable requirements

  • Experience of working in education
  • Experience of project working
  • Experience as a teacher or trainer
  • Experience as a researcher


As a member of the UK NARIC Research and Data Group, participating in the delivery of core services, particularly all information development activities, including new qualifications, new data, new information and project-specific activities; ensuring data quality; providing support to our membership service to organisations; with the opportunity to assist with the coordination and delivery of training.

Person Specification

Essential Desirable
A Bachelor, Master’s or other Post Graduate degree from a UK University
Fluent verbal and written English language skills minimum IELTS 6.5 Knowledge of UK and international education systems
Fluent verbal and written language skills in Spanish Ideally also fluent Italian
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Presentation skills
Meticulous attention to detail and ability to organise work efficiently
Motivated and enthusiastic with a flexible approach A willingness to take on new areas of work, within the parameters of the job
Assertive, professional and credible when liaising with external bodies
An innovative approach to work with the ability to continually evaluate and improve practices
Experience in a research based role Experience of project management
Proven experience of data collection, analysis, evaluation and presentation
IT literate, particularly with regard to Word, Excel and data input to information databases Experienced in the use of Project Management Software
Experience of working to deadlines and to high quality standards
