INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION RESEARCH AND DATA OFFICER Fluent in English and a further European language or Russian

Organisation: UK NARIC

Location: Cheltenham

Starting Salary: £22k

Hours: 8.30am-5.00pm or 9.00am–5.30pm Monday to Friday

Who we are and what we do:

UK NARIC is the UK national agency for information and expert advice on international qualifications and skills. Job Role:

Responsibilities:

As a Research and Data Officer, you would be responsible for the delivery of our core services, particularly research and information development activities. This includes investigating and researching qualifications worldwide, national education systems, and new developments; in short, you would be ensuring the quality of our research and data.

You would also be involved in project activities, contributing to the broad range of our database and publications output about international education; and providing support to our member organisations, which include universities, educational institutions, and government agencies.

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION INFORMATION OFFICERS
- Fluent in English and at least one other Language, to include Russian, Romanian, Arabic or Greek

Organisation: UK NARIC

Location: Cheltenham

Starting Salary: £22k, plus benefits

Hours: 8.30–17.00 or 9.00–17.30

UK NARIC is the UK’s National Agency responsible for providing information and expert advice on international qualifications and skills.  Do you have what it takes to work in a challenging and busy environment, dealing with international enquiries and helping people hoping to fulfil their academic and occupational ambitions?  If so, we would like to hear from you.

You must be educated to degree level and have fluent verbal and written language skills in English; and another language as stated above.

Experience as a teacher or trainer would be an advantage.

Job Role:

Your main role will be processing enquiries from individual applicants and member organisations, and answering questions on the phone and in writing.  You will also be expected to assist in the training provision and a range of other administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

Principally, as a member of UK NARIC Information Services Group:

  • assisting with the international qualifications recognition process;
  • developing knowledge of overseas education and the UK education system;
  • maintaining a professional telephone enquiry service;
  • assisting with the delivery of training; and
  • a range of other administrative tasks

Person Specification

Essential Desirable
Qualifications
A Bachelor, Postgraduate, or Masters degree from a UK University Other professional qualifications
Skills/Attributes
Fluent verbal and written language skills in English (minimum level acceptable IELTS 6.5)
Fluent verbal and written language skills in an Eastern European Language Fluent Russian, Romanian, Polish or Greek
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills A thorough understanding of UK and international education systems
Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to time manage and organise work efficiently to meet set targets Experience in a customer service role
Motivated, positive and enthusiastic with a flexible approach Presentation skills
Excellent team working skills
Experiences
Experience of working successfully to deadlines and high quality standards Experience as a teacher or trainer
IT literate, particularly with regard to Word, Excel and data input to information databases IT Literacy in Microsoft PowerPoint and CRM
