16. My employer is asking for NVQ information to be included in my UK NARIC Statement of Comparability. What is this, and can it be added?
NVQ’s are National Vocational Qualifications. They are awarded at levels from 1 to 5 and are
placed on the National Qualification Framework alongside vocational and academic awards. NVQ’s
reflect the skills and competencies somebody has within a given profession, usually as a result
of on the job training and assessment. Very often, in order to help a potential employer to understand
how much autonomy or skill a potential employee has, they will ask for the comparable level in terms of
NVQ’s. If UK NARIC cannot directly compare your award to an NVQ level, we may be able to include additional
information to give a broad assessment of NVQ comparability. Should you require NVQ information, please
advise us of this using the “Application Notes” field within the User Portal, or in your covering letter.
Please note that adding this information will incur a fee of £12.00 + VAT* (£14.40) plus your chosen delivery charge.
*If you are applying from an address outside of the EU, you are not required to pay VAT.
