Competences in Education and Cross-Border Recognition (CoRe I)

The purpose of the CoRe project was to evaluate the impact of the Tuning degree profile including how it has been used to facilitate academic recognition in Europe. As recognition centres, the participating ENIC-NARICs were very interested in evaluating whether and how the learning outcomes of European qualifications, developed through the Tuning process, had helped to facilitate recognition.

One of the key recommendations stemming from the project was to provide guidance to institutions on formulating degree profiles to ensure they fully reflect the general and specific competences that can be expected on completion of the programme. This guidance was developed through the follow-up project, CoRe II.
